Winery Tour in Yamanashi
No wine day
I coordinated a winery tour to Yamanashi for Machida Medical Association, which is my local society.
At first, we visited Misawa Winery in Akeno Yamanashi.
We joined to the winery tour program organized by Mr. Kaneko, the sales manager of the winery.
All of them were interested in the vineyards because they are real wine lovers.
Some of them saw a vineyard at the first time.
They easily understand the biology of grape vine.
Well… All of them were Doctors.
Especially, we were impressed in Koshu vineyards, which were organized with a huge effort.
After visit the vineyards, we tried to taste several fine wines in the winery.
Everybody was well noted for the very high quality of Misawa Winery.
After the winery tour, we had a fantastic lunch at Restaurant Kingswell near the winery.
We enjoyed delicious dishes with Misawa wines very much.
It was the birthday of Dr. Mitsui, the tour manager today and a friend of mine.
I secretly arranged a birthday surprised cake.
Happy Birthday, Dr. Mitsui!
After the lunch, we went to Erinji Temple, which is a very famous old temple in Yamanashi
Finally, we arrived at Kisvin vineyards &winery, a very small private winery in Enzan.
It is a real “garage” winery but they produce outstanding wines and table grapes.
We enjoyed very much a tasting for delicious grapes and fine wines under the vine rack.
At the winery tour, I was so surprised at seeing that the doctors bought a lot of bottles of wine.
Very good job!
Thank you very much.
